Project Facts

01.

The project spans across the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and plays an important role in connecting New Delhi to Kolkata, along with other cities of economic importance such as Kanpur, Varanasi, Aurangabad and Durgapur to the rest of the country.

02.

Post acquiring this stressed project in 2021 after delays by other contractors, Welspun Enterprises has made remarkable progress in completing significant Vehicular Underpass and Pedestrian Underpass structures for traffic movement.

03.

Several underpasses and flyovers crossed over densely populated areas and other obstacles along the highway alignment, which posed significant execution challenges during construction.

04.

The project has resulted in reducing the travel time from Varanasi to Aurangabad by one hour and has enhanced the convenience and safety of the commuters, while reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

05.

In line with our focus on ESG, we have used environment-friendly construction materials such as Pond Ash as a replacement to natural soil, minimizing the impact on the ecology around the project.
