Upgradation of roads in Maharashtra State of Two-laning Road with paved shoulder under MRIP Package
Public Works Department, Maharashtra
HAM
352.15 km
Rs. 1,650 crore
Project completed in 2022
The project involved redesigning and upgrading the existing intermediate lane road to a modern two-lane road to ensure safe and efficient movement of traffic and improve the sustainability of the road network.
With the newly developed roads now connected with NH-56, the project has significantly increased connectivity of several villages with the District headquarters and eased logistical challenges of farmers to transport their produce to larger cities of Maharashtra.
Demonstrating innovation, Welspun Enterprises constructed a minor bridge in the form of bandhara dam across a water stream to raise its water level for harvesting and irrigation purpose, greatly benefitting the farmers and local population.
Despite challenges such as rolling terrain and forest zone, restricted working hours, fear of wild animals and transportation of material in remote locations, our team completed the project without any untoward incident and in a timely manner.
