A crucial link in the 593 km Nagpur-Surat Economic Corridor, the project was aimed to uplift and touch lives of citizens in the hinterlands of the Nation and connect them with the aspirations of urban India.

Welspun Enterprises upgraded the existing highway to a modern, 4-lane corridor that reduced travel time from Chikhali to Tarsod to just one hour, from 3.5 hours earlier.

Through smooth and accident-free roads, the project has been instrumental in transforming lives of the local population, especially farmers, students and working class individuals.

Welspun's upskilling workshops for toll operators, control & security and road maintenance personnel created numerous job opportunities, leading to a reduction in talent migration in the region.

Equipped with advanced toll collecting system, the highway reads RFID tags automatically, reducing waiting time and traffic jams.
