The aim of the project was to improve the connectivity of several towns and villages in the state of Uttarakhand.
The project involved widening and upgrading of existing roads on NH-72A and NH-73, which connects the towns of Chutmalpur, Gagalheri, Roorkee, and Ganeshpur, in addition to the construction of two bypasses for Roorkee town and Chhutmalpur town in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, respectively.
The road project has significantly benefitted citizens as well as commuters through improve connectivity and reduction of travel time, and has also enhanced of trade and commerce in the region.
